"FIRE" at MAWSON LAKES

We love playing sport. Students at our school play soccer, football, cricket, netball, basketball, volley ball and golf. Australian Rules football is probably the most popular sport and lots of people go to matches during the season. Our two local teams are The Adelaide Crows and Port Power. They play in a national football league.

Our school day sometimes seems long and sometimes seems short - it depends what we are doing! Our day starts at 8:35 am. We have a break in the morning for 20 minutes and a break for lunch (30 minutes). Our day finishes at 3:00 pm. This year we have all begun learning Japanese. Its lots of fun. We've been learning some simple sentences and learning how to use chopsticks properly.

Our favourite foods are pizza, chips, hamburgers, and barbeques. We like Coke, lemonade and lots of other drinks, but we're not allowed to have them at school. During the day we keep bottles of water on our tables so that we can drink whenever we need to.

At lunch time we order lunch from our school canteen. Usually we have sandwiches, pies, pasties or sausage rolls, and fruit juices, milk drinks or water to drink. You can also buy fruit, ice blocks and packets of chips, too. We order our lunch at the beginning of the day, then someone from our class goes to the canteen to collect all our lunches at lunch time.
