"AIR" at MAWSON LAKES

Music is a big part of our lives. We enjoy listening to music at home, and sometimes at school we are allowed to play music while we are working.

Some of us are in the school choir. We practice every week and in September we sing in the Festival of Music in Adelaide, at the Festival Theatre.

We have four seasons in Australia: Spring(1st September to 30th November), Summer (1st December to 28th - or 29th February), Autumn (1st March to 31st May) and Winter (1st June to 31st August). Spring and Autumn are our favourite months, because then the weather is not too hot and not too cold. In summer it can get very hot, with temperatures over 40 degrees centigrade. We have our long school holidays in the summer. Sometimes its really good because we can go to the pool or beach and swim, but sometimes its just too hot and we stay inside in the air-conditioning. It hardly ever snows in South Australia. Sometimes we get a little bit of snow on Mount Lofty, but it usually only lasts a few hours.
