Life near the Water

In East Texas there are many animals of the water. There are many different kinds of ducks on the lakes. Ducks are big game of East Texas and many people hunt ducks on the lakes.
Beavers are also live on the lakes of east Texas. Most people donāt like the beavers because they dam up the canals and the mouths of rivers. Many kinds of fish in the east Texas areas.
We have many waterdogs in lake Tyler and other lakes in the community. Waterdogs are a species of newts that live in the shallow water. In the summer it is hard to find waterdogs because they all slowly migrate to the deep waters to keep cool.
Thereās also many cranes in the lake they feed all day on the perch and other kinds of fish along with crawdads (crawdads are a little bigger than shrimp but they look like mini lobsters).
There are also raccoons that you can see in the morning finding clams and other kind of fish. Another thing that the raccoons feed on is the crawdads.

Animals that live in the water may suffer from trash, oil, or get caught in trash. These animals in our lakes like snakes, turtles, gophers, squirrels, rats, ducks, frogs, even big and little fish and the animals that live around our lakes are like deer, raccoons, owls, cranes, herons, mosquito, dragon flies, fire ants, even the nastiest thing on the whole entire planet Texas sized cockroaches need clean water.
