Weather

Fall
 
Fall in Whitehouse, Texas is  fairly warm weather with mild chilly winds up to 5 to 10 m.p.h. Also the leaves begin to fall off of the trees. Everyone starts wearing coats, jeans, and long sleeves. The fall season is usually has the calmest weather. The colors of the leaves are brown, red, green, yellow, and purple. It is pretty nice weather in the fall for fishing, because the fish come up to the surface of the water because it is to cold to stay at the bottom of the lake.
Winter
 
Winter here freezes but not so bad that that  the lake freezes or it snows here. But it is  really cold at winter and we have to bring plants and pets in the house and put insulation on the water hoses so they donāt freeze and bust . Temperatures average from highs near 65 and lows in near 30 in Whitehouse, Texas.

 

Spring
 
In the spring time the average temperature is around 80  degrees so it gets warm and a lot of bugs come out.  But you could visit one of there many lakes and swim or fish.  Temperatures range high near 80 and lows in the 50s.  Picnic weather and time for a swim on sunny days.

 

Summer
 
In East Texas our temperatures range in the summer from mid 80s to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.  There are days when the temperature keeps everyone inside with a glass of the favorite drink trying to keep cool.  Summer fun includes boating, swimming, tennis, skiing and more. Rainfall drops off and sometimes we experience a drought.
 

Types of weather:
We experience cold and wet weather, but seldom have snow or ice storms.  We do have tornados, and receive rain from hurricanes that hit near the Gulf of Mexico and continue northward.
